Alyssa Fritz was born on October 21, 2001, in Hartland, Wisconsin to her parents Brenda and Troy. She has an older sister, Alaina. Currently, Alyssa is a senior at Arrowhead High School with a GPA of 4.0. She will graduate in the year 2020.

 

In 2008, when Alyssa was 7 years old, she enrolled at Midwest Twisters Gymnastics in Hartland, Wisconsin. There, she did a year of Recreational classes. Alyssa was then asked to move to Level 3. Alyssa competed a year of Level 3 and and a year of Level 4. In 2012, Alyssa switched over to the Xcel Program at Midwest Twisters. She competed a year of Silver, two years of Platinum, and a year of Diamond. In 2015, Alyssa moved from Midwest Twisters Gymnastics in Hartland, Wisconsin to Salto Gymnastics in Brookfield, Wisconsin. There, Alyssa competed two years of Diamond.

 

In 2016, at the Wisconsin Xcel State Championships, Alyssa placed first on vault with a score of 9.05, first on the uneven bars with a score of 9.45, third place on balance beam, second on the floor exercise and second all around with a score of 36.125. Alyssa qualified for the 2016 Xcel Region 4 Championships in St. Paul, Minnesota. There, Alyssa tied for second on vault, placed second on the uneven bars with a score of 9.55, placed first on the floor exercise with a score of 9.45 and placed second in the all around with a score of 36.2.

 

At the 2017 Wisconsin Xcel State Championships, Alyssa placed first on vault with a score of 9.125, second place on the balance beam and second all around with a score of 36.3, qualifying for the Xcel Region 4 Championships in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. At Regionals in 2017, Alyssa placed first on the uneven bars, second on the floor exercise and fifth in the all around.

 

After the 2016-2017 Xcel season ended, Alyssa switched from the Xcel Program at Salto Gymnastics in Brookfield, Wisconsin to the JO Program at Salto Gymnastics in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Alyssa is currently a Level 9 at Salto and is preparing for the 2020 season. Currently, she is training 17 hours per week, under coaches Vitali Rudnitski, Kristen Kremer, Brittany Solberg and Juliet Holden.
